Homemade Strawberry Pie

When strawberries are in season, so is strawberry pie. Perfect for a warm summer day or to celebrate a special day.
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
- 4-6 cups fresh sliced strawberries
- 1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
Blend sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan. Add water. Continuously stir while bringing mixture to a boil. Boil for one minute until thickened.
Remove from heat and add strawberry gelatin. Let cool.
Arrange strawberries in pie shell and pour glaze over berries.
Chill for 3 to 4 hours. Top with whipped cream.
