Freezer meal kits will instantly save you time and money, not to mention your blood pressure levels. The stress-inducing question of “What’s for dinner?” will no longer send your blood pressure sky rocketing as you open the doors to the refrigerator at 4:00 p.m. without a clue or a plan. The Freezer Meal Kit of the Month, is a monthly series featuring a kit that allows you to make 10 meals in a snap. No more guilt over running through the drive through, instead you will feel relief because dinner is DONE.
Freezer meals have changed my life. Let me tell you how.
One night as I drove home from teaching a cooking class, I realized something important. (Why do I have so many a ha moments in my car?) During my class, I prepared a fresh and flavorful Farmer’s Market Pizza. The ingredients included fresh onions and garlic, fresh Roma tomatoes from the garden, fresh mushrooms, fresh spiralized zucchini, and freshly grated cheese with Italian seasoning. It was so good! It was so simple!
But what was my family eating for dinner? Frozen pizza.
Why? Because I didn’t have a plan.
Totally not fair. I decided at that moment I needed to take control of my family’s meal planning.
I needed dinner needed to be done before I left to teach, I needed it to be flavorful and smell amazing. I needed it to be a meal I felt good about leaving my family with for the evening. I needed dinner to also be efficient because when I teach cooking classes, my attention wanders towards that.
That’s why I came up with making a freezer meal kit of the month.
Instead of spending my money on food that doesn’t really “feed and nourish” my family, I’m spending two hours in my kitchen making 10 balanced meals that go into my freezer for the month.
Every week, I take out two meals and put them in a glass thawing dish in my refrigerator (to catch any drips from thawing raw meats).
And every week, these meals save our credit card bill, my time, and my sanity. I feel so good knowing that at 10 in the morning, dinner is either cooking already, or it will be ready to cook that evening because I’ve already done the prep.
These meals have helped me so much that I want to help you as well. I want you to be able to have a dinner plan that helps you feel good about feeding your family. Because I know your mealtime stress will plummet and so will your your credit card balance from not grabbing fast food/take out. What will rise? Your confidence, your sense of relief, and your checkbook balance.

You will have everything you need to get dinner done. You simply shop for your additional groceries and make the 10 meals in your own home when it is convenient for you.
Each meal serves between four and eight people. So if you have a family of two, you will easily get 20 meals out of the kit. If you have a family of four, you will get 10+ meals out of the kit. If you have a family of growing teenagers, don’t worry, there is enough. All of these meals for less than $3/serving.
Once your meals are prepared and in the freezer, they are ready to go for the month. You simply thaw, cook, and serve.
While the dish is cooking, you can quickly prepare a veggie side dish or two, like a simple chopped salad, 12-minute mashed potatoes (that’s another blog post!), a smoothie, or some steamed vegetables. Dessert is fresh fruit served over ice cream or yogurt.
Dinner is done. And time and money are saved.
